What is Christmas for me ? Christmas is using a lot of warm spices and marzipan for making great tasting home-made foods. These scones are bringing these things together in a wonderful tasting. I decided to serve them together with butter instead of the usual whipped cream and jam.
Scones are easy to make and takes no time at all to make - within 30 minutes you can sit down with a freshly baked scone and relax with a cup of this home-made Christmas Tea (which a bit longer time to make). Another scone, which is fitting perfect into Christmas time, you could try out these spicy scones with dried fruits.
Christmas Scones: - 12 pieces
- 450 g cake flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1½ teaspoon baking powder
- 50 g sugar
- 75 g marzipan - grated
- 125 g cold butter
- 1 egg
- 2 dl milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cardamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 50 g sucat
- 1 egg for glazing
- spiced sugar
- Heat the oven (conventional) to 250'C.
- Heat the milk together with cinnamon, cardamon, vanilla sugar and sucat.
- Mix the flour, salt, baking powder, marzipan and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
- Cut the cold butter into small pieces.
- Grind the butter pieces into the flour mix.
- Add the milk and egg without kneading it a dough.
- Place the dough on a pieces of baking paper.
- Flatten the dough into a height of 3 cm.
- Use a glass to cut out scone pieces or place the dough into heart shape silicone form.
- Bake the scone at 250'C for 10-15 minutes.
Disse så bare nydelige ut! Takk for oppskrift.
