Upcomers Market Spring 2020
Last week-end Upcomers Market took place in Vejle, which is a market, where you can look & feel at the goods from various small designers, maker etc. I find the quality of the goods of this market to quiet high, so it worth going there.
This year I found some green ceramic vases (big surprice !!!), but is quiet some time, since I last brought a green vase :-)
The two vases are made Agnethe Kirkeby. The other green ceramic stuff, which I brought was a cup and a lunch made by Kræs Jelling. So now, I can invite four persons around for lunch/dinner served on various green ceramic plates :-)

Christmas market at Trapholt 2019
Today I went to the annual usual Christmas market at Tarpholt, which is an event I always plan to attend from year to year due to the high level of the various participating artists. As usual I was keeping a good eye to the various ceramics, which were a part of the Christmas fair.
At the stand of Lotte Kohl I located a "new" Christmas tree for my collection of ceramic Christmas tree, which plays an important role in my Christmas decoration. Besides from a new Christman three I also brought a a small flower pot as well as two Christmas gifts from my mother to me :-)
At the stand of Aoife Soden Glass I located as well as brought a glass vase, which also a holder for a candle stick.
At the stand of Tina Ferch I found this small collection of ceramic candle stick holders and vases.
Finally at the shop of Trapholt I found and brought this candle and star shaped candle stick holder.

Knitting festival in Horsens October 2019
Two days ago I participated in Horsens Strikkefestival together with an old friend from high school. We had signed up for two knit workshops.
As mentioned previously we participated in two knitting workhops
The first workshop was on Neverkont, which is knitting small squares, which afterwards will look like braided knit. Here you knit forward and backwards on smaller sections adding as well as reducing the amount of knit masks. And this knitting style gives smaller squares in a pattern.I will try to knit a bigger sample as a another test, so I/you can see the neverkont in bigger version.

The second workshop was double knitting, so the pattern on the back side is the negative side of the pattern on the front side. Here the yarn colours for test knit was quiet close to each other, so it is difficult to see the actual pattern.
This way of knitting requires a lot of attention, as the yarn is either behind or in front of the knit mask. Again, here I try it again on my with two yarn colours with bigger colour variation.
After the work shops we had a look around the exhibition area with the many yarn companies. And here I found yarn for three new knitting projects in form of a shawl in Autumn colours, a poncho in green colours and finally a sweater in the colour of orange. But first I have finish with the knitting of the Mosegenser sweater.

Prepared for the knitting festival in Horsens
I am prepared to participate in Horsens Strikkefestival tomorrow Sunday. I have buying some cotton yarn as well as finding some yarn leftovers. I need these yarns, as I have signed up for the two knit workshops. I am planning to use the cotton yarn afterwards to knit dish cloth, as I have used been buying a knitting book with dish cloth as theme.
The first workshop is Neverkont, which is knitting small squares, which afterwards will look like braided knit. The second workshop is double knitting, so the pattern on the back side is the negative side of the pattern on the front side.
Naturally I will share my impression from the knit festival later on.

Open doors at local artists in Vejle
In the first week end of May the local artists in the area of Vejle opened up their doors to their art studies, so you could visit them and see their art. And if you find something interesting you can also buy it being photos, ceramic or painting.
My mother and I drove around for five different artists Saturday afternoon visiting them. Among other we visited Hanne Busch, which makes ceramics looking like different types of flower bulbs. Here I brought a hyacinth bulb together with a ceramic "thing", which can be placed on a metallic stick in my garden purely for decoration.
Below you see the small collection, which I now have of ceramic flower bulbs.

Ceramic market at Lillebæltsværftet May 2019
Saturday 11 May 2019 a smaller ceramic marked at Lillebæltværftet took place in Middelfart. The marked turned out to be smaller (less booths with ceramic), than I had expected, before going to the marked.
The quality of the ceramic marked was very high, and the entrance to the marked was for free. So perhaps I will come again to this marked, which will come again in September.
So what could I not live without ?I found this green ceramic vase made by Mads Ottow from Bag Det Blå Hus. It is a vase in the shape of a poppy. It can be used both as a vase, but it can also be placed up side down on a stick outside in the garden as decoration.

And for my collection of dining plate made in green ceramic I also brought this plate made by Signe Kähler, so now I have invite two guests for dinner. (Studio Arhøj plate & Skagen Potteri plate).

Whit market at Trapholt 2019
The annual White market (Pinsemarked 2019) at Trapholt started today and will also be there tomorrow White Monday.
Together with the annual Christmas market at Trapholt has become a must-do-thing for me. And I was there sharp at 10.00 this morning, when the market opened. Both at the Whit as well as the Christmas marked at Trapholt you can always find some great craft designers of very high quality.
As usual my advise to you is to arrive from the very beginng, as this means you can get parking spots more or less next door to the museum. Besides from getting a good parking spot, you can also get a good look around the various arts and craft booths, before the fair area becomes over-crowed.So what could I "not live without" this time ?
A ceramic cup made by Rikke Elgaard. I have previously been buying a ceramic vase made by Rikke Elgaard. Going to the stand of Rikke Elgaard is like embarking on January sale, as hordes of people grabs "their vase/vases" and hold on to it, so no one else can take their vase !!!! I really like the vases, but I need to have more space to look and feel, before buying one of her larger vases.
I also found another ceramic cup made by Lea Nielsen. Both the colour as well as the the surface of the cup reminds so much about waves on a calm open sea, so this cup also had to move home to me !!!
Well, as I have enough green vases (perhaps ?), I am now on the look out for ceramic dining plate in my favourite colour of green. And here I found this plate made by Keis&Fiedler. I typically associate this ceramic with the small vases as well as the small houses. So it was a little of eye opener to see both the cups, bowls and plates. And the glazing of the cups was just fantastic.
Finally I found this beautiful carve made from silk and in the colour of green. I was told by the the artist Alør, that the pattern was English stone hedges. Well, the pattern reminds me more about gobbles living in open sea !

Christmas market at Fulby ceramic
Saturday one week ago my mother and I had a tour to Sealand visting both some old family members of my mother, Sorø kunstmuseum and the Christmas market at Fulby ceramic.
Ever since I first meet Fulby ceramic at CLAY I have been impress by their ceramic pitcher, which are cut open after the first of the process to add in pour spout as well as the handle. However, all these ceramic pitchers were sold out, when I saw the exhibition at CLAY.
However, my mother located, that the ceramic workshop of Fulby was/is open in the week-ends in the run up to Christmas, therefore we decided to drive by to have a look.
This time I did not buy any ceramic vases at all !!! BUT I found a small ceramic pitcher and flower bulb pot, and yes both ceramics have the colour of green :-)
The Christmas fair in also open is this weekend.

A good tip is to arrive from the very beginning in the morning, or perhaps even 10-15 minutes, before the museum and fair begins, so you are able to get a parking spots more or less next door to the museum. Besides from getting a good parking spot, you can also get a good look around the various arts and craft booths, before the fair area becomes over-crowed.
The entrance is ½ entrance free to the museum, and for 55 DKK you get access to both the fair as well as the museum.

Christmas market at Haughus Gods
My mother & I have visited the Christmas market at Haughus Gods, which is located close to Jelling, and this is the first Christmas market, which we have visited here in 2018.
There was a few greet looking Christmas tableaus inside the main building. And some of the stand at the markets had some good stuff to buy. But all in all this Christmas market had too much of the "uninteresting home-made" Christmas stuff.
I found some natural Christmas decorations at a very attractive price level, which now have found a place in my home for the upcoming Christmas decoration.
Anyway, I an really looking forward to the Christmas fair Trapholt, which takes place next week-end, as I always find some very tempting things at these fairs at Trapholt.

The annual White market (Pinsemarked 2018) at Trapholt started today and will also be there tomorrow White Monday.
The annual Christmas Fair at Trapholt has become a must-do-thing for me. However, I am less frequent at the Whit Markets, as I more often is rowing during the Whit.
